There are different types of learning disabilities. Some are very common and some are not. Some kids with a learning disability belongs to special Education and some do not. In this post I will tell you the different kinds of learning disabilities of different background and education level.

This is a picture of a girl with Down Syndrome. Down Syndrome was discovered by John Langdon Down. Down Syndrome often happen when the mother gets pregnant when she is 35 or order years old. That doesn't always happen but that is well the science say that it often caused Down Syndrome. Some people think that kids who have down syndrome are retarded but they are not. They just look different then us and they might have their own challenges going on. Anyone who have down syndrome can be in a life skills class or even honors classes and anywhere in between. No 2 down syndromes are unlike and you can't judge how smart they are by how they look like or how they talk. kids with Down Syndrome would have health problems such as heart problems. They have a speech implement because they have a huge tounge.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is an umbrella term! Autistic Disorder or Autism Disorder is a neurological and developmental disorder that usually appears during the first three years of life. Children with autism looks like they are living in their own little word, shows little interests in others, and lack of social awareness. The focus of an autistic child is a consistent routine and includes an interest in repeating odd and peculiar behaviors. Autistic children often have problems communicating, avoiding eye contact, and show limit attachment to others. Asperger's Disorder was founded in the 1940s by Hans Asperger. He was obsessed with Autistic behaviors and difficult in communication skills in boys but they would have normal intelligence and language development. They would describe people with Asperger's as "High Functioning." PDD is like Asperger's because that too is "High Functioning" autism but it's a catch all because if there is a kid who may or may not have autism and show different types of autistic behaviors but they don't know what to label them as, they just label the kids as PDD whether he or she does have autism or not. Now because so many kids are being labeled with PDD, they are starting to get rid of it since they made it into a fake autism. The childhood disintegrative disorder (CDD), also known as Heller's syndrome and disintegrative psychosis, is a rare condition characterized by late onset of developmental delays in language, social function, and motor skills. As for right now researchers does not know the cause of this disorder. CDD has some similarities of autism and is considered to be a low functioning form of it. Since May 2013 this terms as well as other terms were fused into Autism Spectrum Disorder. Now CDD is also called "regressive autism." Rett syndrome is a neurodevelopmenal disorder that affects girls almost exclusively. It affects growth and development by a slowing development, loss of good use in hands, distinctive hand movements, slowed brain and head growth, problems with walking, seizures, and intellectual disability.
Watch this video on special education teachers, they are amazing teachers and we should have more of them around for our special needs kids.
